Experience Required: Minimum 5 years in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field. The ideal candidate will be proficient in conducting manual assessments using open-source tools and have expertise in web application security, including familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 and tools like Metasploit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on networks, applications, and systems.
  • Perform manual security assessments using open-source tools, identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities.
  • Analyze and interpret security vulnerabilities, providing detailed reports and remediation guidance.
  • Focus on web application security, including testing for OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
  • Utilize tools such as Metasploit and other open source and industry-standard penetration testing tools.
  • Collaborate with development and IT teams to implement security improvements.
  • Stay current with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
  • Develop and maintain security testing methodologies, procedures, and tools.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
  • Strong experience with manual security assessment tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in web application security testing, including knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with Metasploit and other penetration testing tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, CISSP, or similar are highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with network security testing and analysis.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security standards.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to information security.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
