Job Description
Briefing of duties and responsibilities
- Ensure all document required for welding available @ site & qualifying the welders through the welding engineer.
- He shall update consumable availability @ site.
- He shall have experience Fit up inspection and weld visual
- He shall have experience in keeping all welder record and Update welding data to office.
- Ensure all welding in line WPS and client requirement has been fulfill.
- Ensure weld visual and welder qualified available site.
- Providing guidance and direction to welders and monitoring performance.
- Retrain welders as required based on project feedback.
- Assist in the evaluation of new welding equipment when required.
- Assist in the evaluation of new welding consumables
- Qualifications/Experience
- 15 years’ experience (including 5 years Shutdowns):
- in Oil & Gas @ site, Petrochemical fields welding in piping, tanks, in various welding processes like GTAW, SMAW, SAW, FCAW, GMAW, in automation etc.
- Specific skills and knowledge
- Good knowledge of Welding equipment and Automation.
- Personal competencies
- Strong Interpersonal relationship capabilities.
- Leadership capabilities
- Good anticipation, planning & organizing skills.
- Skill to understand / operate modern welding processes / equipments, to teach , demonstrate / train foremen & welders.
